The concept represents a city vehicle for 2 passengers. The engine is completely electric and therefore generates literally zero emissions. For the first time in the electronic vehicles industry, with only one battery charge ranges of 420 Km can be achieved. This is done without noise or air pollution and at a cost of approx. EUR 3.60 for the whole range.
The development is based in the DYNASPEED (one track vehicle) designed for one person.
The estimated needed energy would be only 210 Watt for a speed of. 70 km/h. The top-speed would be 100 km/h. However, the acceleration values are quite incredible with 0-100 Km/h in less than 10 seconds.
Target-group are people depending on daily transportation to go to work or those which want to diminish dependence on increasing taxes, public transport and fuel costs.
The aim of the XILECTRA is to become the most economic vehicle in the world, in terms of purchase price, maintenance and daily use.
Compared to most current city vehicles, passengers sit behind each other instead of next to each other. This generates several advantages:
- The air resistance is reduced drastically
- The vehicle is slimmer with clearer structure and therefore better overview
- The longer wheelbase offers more comfort
- Only one door is needed for access and exit
- The exit is on the pedestrian side, hence safety is increased
- The stability is enhanced enormously
- A harmonious shape is achieved
The XILECTRA has an incredibly technically advanced, stable and comfortable wheel design, which is based on the luxury car range ‘Brione’. Although the same wheel design has been adapted from the powerful BRIONE, the design for the XILECTRA has been prioritized to excel in comfort, safety and price. The design is completely different to anything currently in use in the automotive industry, for example every wheel has its own drive consisting of two gears. The breaking energy is transferred to the batteries.
XILECTRA is started with an access-card (similar to a credit-card). There is no gear-shifting. Only the reverse gear needs driver confirmation. Engines turn off automatically at traffic lights.
Except for wiper blades and tires there are no ware parts. Hence, inspections are estimated at 30.000 km. intervals.
